Question: How do u keep ur outdoor bonsais from getting frozen in winter & still make sure they get sunlight they need?

What are some ways that owners of outdoor bonsai trees keep their bonsai trees from getting frozen in winter (which would kill them), but yet have them get enough sunlight that they would need (for the evergreens and pine trees)?

As you know, outdoor bonsai are very special in that they need to get as low as 30F, but no lower. They however need little, or no light, whether they are evergreen or deciduous. What they DO need during dormancy is water, because they still transpire, but watering is needed less often then. Keep all your bonsai above 30F by either "healing " them in the ground (like a flower bed), keeping them in a garage, in an unheated 'cold house', or any other way that you can imagine. You can put your bonsai indoor near a sunny window or get one of those plant light bulb :)
