Need help with a Chinese Elm tree bonsai...?
I received it as a gift but it does not seem to be doing very well. The first couple of days was fine but its been 9 days now and its started badly wilting and generally looking worse for wear. I did have it on a table in my room but I've moved it over to the window which is open all through the day. I think its a bit cold to put outside as its about 3 at night here and not much above that during the day. What is my best course of action to save the little guy.
Can I use a full-spectrum bulb in place of sunlight for my bonsai tree?
I don't want to put it outside because as long as it's inside in the warm the leaves stay green and full and I really don't have a window seal large enough for it's pot. Can I use a full spectrum bulb to replicate the sunlight? I know this works for reptiles so what about plants, it's an elm tree if that makes a difference.
Should the moss in my bonsai always be moist?
because its sort of a browny colour more than greeni try to keep it as moist as often as i canhow can i keep this moss alive becuase it really adds to the scenery of my bonsai
I have a Chinese Elm bonsai that i bought 1 1/2 weeks ago. It is beginning to lose it's leaves now. Why?
The leaves are shriveling up and falling off. They are not turning any color yellow or black they just get really dry and fall off. It is kept inside at a comfortable temp and I have watered it only once in the 1 1 2 weeks that I've had it. I live in Belgium and it is rather cold here right now and I don't want to shock it by placing it outside. What do I do?

I bought a ficus bonsai and I need to repot it in a bonsai pot but I am not sure where to find the soil other than ordering it online. Can anyone help? Are there any major chain stores that you think would carry this or is it my best bet to just try a nursery?I got my bonsai at a nursery in a plastic pot like all nursery plants come so I had to buy a bonsai pot and I need to replace the soil it came in because it is not enough.

My Benjamina Ficus Bonsai has very tiny insects in the pot?
Do to a cool draft, my bonsai currently has no leaves except for about 7 leaf buds and yesterday, while looking for more after watering, I noticed a variety of minuscule insects roaming within the pot. They are not ON the tree itself, but I'm afraid they may be eating the roots. The bugs are about a millimeter long, they are a brown black color, and are shiny. I believe they have wings, but I have yet to see them fly.Could you please identify them and help me with getting rid of them? With OUT hurting my tree anymore? Thank you.

Need help/advice about my Juniper Bonsai tree?
Hello everyone and thanks in advance from those who have any suggestions or helpful information I live in Northeast Ohio, and of course it's winter. I purchased my bonsai last summer, and have had no issues at all. Recently in the past month, my tree has been turning brown. I have watched how much water I've given it, and checked it with a toothpick. I have tried taking the tree outside and keeping it in the garage near a window where it would be cold but safe from the wind. In an attempt to let it go through it's winter months. It hasn't been in direct sunlight, which I fear may be a cause due to it not being very sunny out the last few days. There's snow on the ground, and I have got suggestions about putting it out in the open where the snow may fall on it and that be the source of water and help it through the winter. I have not tried this in fear I would kill the tree even further. I just recently brought it back in the house because it seemed to have been doing worse outside than it was inside. Today I just repotted my bonsai in hopes that it'll help it. When I took the tree out of the old pot, the roots seemed dry, but bendy. There is green on the stop of the tree but, it's been getting lighter and lighter, while the ends of the branches become browner. A lot of the small green needles have been breaking off, the tree seems really brittle. But, there are parts of it that are bendy. I am honestly at a loss about what to do further about my tree. I really don't want it to die. It's my first one, and I know that it is 3 years old. I will take a picture and post it when I get the chance later today. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I fear that my bonsai may be dead Or close to it.
