Whats wrong with my bonsai tree??? :(?
so i got my bonsai about a month ago its a mount fuji serissa, ive noticed that the leafs are different..well not just different they look like theyre drying out....hmm..like when some fall and theyve been there like 2 days...thats the appearance of all of them and before they used to look very green and firm very healthy and i dont know what to do...i dont know if its because im not watering it enough or if i might be watering it too much wich i dont think is the case but i dont know because i just got it...i dont know if it might not be getting enough sun light...so if you have any idea please help meeeeee... i dont want it to die. what can i do in order for it to b healthy again?thanks in advance
Want to get into the hobby of bonsai?
My girlfriend and i are going to the greenhouse tomorow to get a couple trees plants to start bonsais with. I have done some research on the different kinds of trees that can be used. We live in the northeastern united states nh to be exact . now i like the looks of the maples, and i believe that they are hardy enough for our area, but are they good trees to start in this hobby. What would the best type be to start that may show results a little faster than others? i do understand that this is an art form that takes years to complete, but which species will show the fastest growth rate? thanks in advanceDave

How do I water a bonsai plant by immersing it?
Am I supposed to immerse only half the pot so the water comes up through the bottom, or the whole pot so it comes in from the top?

I planted my black pine seeds a little while ago, I know it takes a few weeks to germinate. Just to plan for the future, when do I need to start trimming the plant? Is there a certain height or is there a specific age. Plus, I live in Pennsylvania, should I take my tree in for the winter?

my son deployed to afghanistain in january of this year, and left me his bonsai tree ,, he loves so good ,, to care for ,,,but im not doing a good job,,,,the tips of the tree is green and pretty but then to the base of the tree it's brown,,no one in my area where i live ,know's anything about them,,thanx for your help
I bought a bonsai tree a little while ago..?
Ok so i bought a bonsai and it says fertilize it 1 time a month.. I dont know what fertilizer to use but i was wondering if i can use used coffee grounds even though it is in a pot. There is no room in the pot so could i put the grounds on top of the mossy cover thats over the soil?i dont mean to make it grow i just meant to fertilize it.. but would it just be easier to buy fertilizer?
How should I try saving my bonsai tree's life?
I have a ficus ginseng species bonsai that has very little foliage on top of a big root looking trunk. It wasn't growing much in my kitchen window so I put it outside one hot day in the shade and almost every leaf is scorched. I brought it back inside and watered it but the leaves are dead. With the next watering I gave it a little fertilizer but I don't know exactly what the best way to remove the dead leaves. If recommended, where should I make the cuts and what else can I do to revive the tree?

How should i start trimming my bonsai tree?
ok so i just got a mount serissa bonsai, and i kinda got down the watering part but i dont know how to start trimming it or where exactly..i dont want to hurt it or much worse to kill it so i would like some tips on how to do it correctly. thanks in advance
Bonsai - my ilex (holly) bonsai tree leaves are withering (pics included)?
the leaves have got all dry and have started to bend inwards and a few have started to drop offis it because of the posistion i place it on a windowsill which gets quite a lot of sun, as there are no buildings near there to block the sun for some of the day.or is it due to watering... too much or too little. a few days ago i placed it in a shallow sink of water for 10 minutes and everyday i spray it with water on the leaves and make sure the surface of the soil is moist.do i need to feed it? i have only had it for about 3 weeks, and i have just bought some bonsai liquid feeder. i havent put it on yet but i am about to. and il see wether that makes a difference.thanks for the advice as i am a beginner in bonsai.heres the link to the pics s933.photobucket.com albums ad180 darcyc121 ?action view& current SNC01447.jpgs933.photobucket.com albums ad180 darcyc121 ?action view& current SNC01445.jpg
How do u grow a bonsai tree?
hi i recently brought bonsai seeds well ive been waiting 2 months and still nothing the thing is i think i may have planted them to deep will this be ok or shall i try and find the old seeds and replant them
What kind of Bonsai Tree do I have?
I bought this Bonsai Tree two days ago. The guy working at the shop had no clue what kind of bonsai tree it was and how to take care of it. He said that it is an indoor tree. But I've been searching the web and it says that it should be kept outside for fresh air?? I'm really confused. Should I keep it inside my house? or put it outside? and I cannot figure out what type of tree my bonsai is One more thing.. Should I cut the big leaves or leave them?
